The unexpected news
a long, long time ago, i sent in a request for something, genuinely interested in pursuing it for many, many reasons. and for a long, long time i did not get a favourable reply. over the years, time and tide has waned my interest in it dramatically. my efforts to pursue it has been reduced to minimal 'maintenance' and my many, many reasons had been reduced to just one single reason.
a few days ago, i had received news on this, unexpectedly. friends i have confided in were all supportive. some, i think for the wrong reasons. but for now i am still sitting on it. a few nights of good sleep would clear my thinking.

cengkerang (n); the material that forms the hard outer covering of many animals. also the hard usually fibrous outer layer of some fruits especially nuts. also the exterior covering of a bird's egg. also the hard largely calcareous covering of a mollusc. which one? take a guess....
